One of the biggest obstacles faced by families who want to adopt is finances.
Please join thousands of Bethany families in assisting others overcome the financial barrier in their journey to adoption by participating in our Families Helping Families National Serve-A-Thon on August 15, 2009!
To participate, you simply need to ask friends and family to sponsor you in an act of service that helps others in your church and community. Funds raised will go directly to Bethany’s Caring Connection Fund, which helps qualified families offset the costs of their adoption. With your participation, you and your family can actually help make an adoption possible!

Share: Take time to view the “Reasons to Serve” video (left side of this page) and get inspiration from families who have benefited from Bethany’s Caring Connection Fund. Then share your concern for children and your love of Bethany with people you know.
Engage: Sign up right here online. We will provide you with everything you need to send letters and even personal e-mails from your own website! Be sure to view the “How to Participate” video. (You’ll see it’s so easy, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to do it!).
Give: Give your time to make follow-up phone calls to those you have asked to give and plan your act of service on or around August 15. If you are participating in the Grand Rapids area, there are service projects available for you and your family to participate in. Please contact Rhonda at

Here is why this event is so important:So far this year, the Caring Connection Fund has already distributed 50% more grants than last year, and requests are arriving daily in record numbers. At present, Bethany does not have enough revenue to honor all of the requests from families.
But through the Families Helping Families Campaign, we can share the love of Jesus through acts of service that will provide funding to make more adoptions possible!
